Easy Guide: Where to Get Shroud Adhesive Enshrouded for All Crafting Needs

If you’ve spent any time grinding mid-tier crafting materials in Enshrouded, you’ve probably hit the frustrating wall of needing shroud adhesive for key upgrades. I spent three hours wandering random shroud zones my first time looking for it, killing every mob I saw with barely a single drop to show for my effort. Figuring out where to get shroud adhesive enshrouded doesn’t have to be that hard, though, once you know which spots have consistent drops and how to farm them without wasting your resources.

Where to Get Shroud Adhesive Enshrouded: Top 3 Reliable Farming Spots

All of these spots are accessible once you unlock the first mid-game fast travel point, and have drop rates high enough that you’ll walk away with at least 10 units per 15-minute run, even if you’re playing solo. The Ancient Spire Deep Shroud Zone is my go-to spot for casual farming, with small swarms of shroud moths that have a 25% drop rate per kill. You don’t have to fight any elite mobs here, so it’s perfect for players who just hit level 12 and don’t have top-tier gear yet. The Forgotten Quarry Shroud Infestation is better if you want to farm other materials at the same time, since the rock golems here drop both adhesive and iron ore, with a 30% drop rate per golem. You will need a decent melee weapon or fire staff to take them down quickly, though. The Cursed Village Outskirts has the highest drop rate at 35%, but it’s also the most dangerous, with elite shroud stalkers patrolling the area. I only farm here if I’m playing with a group, since the elites can one-shot undergeared players if you get caught off guard.

How to Farm Shroud Adhesive Efficiently Without Wasting Resources

Even if you pick the best farming spot, you’ll waste a ton of time if you show up unprepared. I used to forget shroud resistance potions all the time, and half my run would be spent running back to the nearest safe zone to heal from decay damage. Before you head out for a farming run, make sure you have these three core items with you:

  • At least 2 tier 2 shroud resistance potions to avoid taking constant damage in deep shroud zones, even if you have base shroud resistance from your armor
  • A fast-hitting area of effect weapon like a fire staff or iron axe to clear swarms of small mobs quickly, instead of wasting time fighting them one by one
  • At least 15 empty inventory slots to avoid leaving valuable drops like adhesive, ore, and rare crafting components behind during longer runs
  • I also recommend setting a quick travel marker at the edge of the farming zone before you head in, so you can fast travel out immediately if you run low on potions or health. Area of effect builds work best for these runs, since most of the high-drop mobs spawn in groups of 3 to 5. If you’re playing a melee class, equipping a sweeping strike weapon mod will cut your run time almost in half.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Hunting for Shroud Adhesive

A lot of new players make avoidable mistakes that turn a 15-minute farming run into an hour of frustration. Don’t attempt to farm shroud adhesive before level 12, for starters. Even if you can get to the farming spots, the mobs will hit too hard, and your drop rate will be cut in half if you’re more than 3 levels below the mob you’re killing. Another common mistake is wasting time killing common low-threat mobs like shroud rats, which have a drop rate of less than 2% for adhesive. You’re far better off targeting the specific high-drop mobs I listed earlier, even if there are fewer of them in the zone. So many people also forget to clear respawn points before they start farming, which means you’ll get ambushed by respawned mobs while you’re looting a dead golem. Take two minutes to clear all the spawn points in a small section of the zone first, and you’ll have a safe loop to farm without surprise attacks.

What You Can Use Shroud Adhesive For Once You Farm It

You might be tempted to hoard every unit of shroud adhesive you find, but it’s worth using it for key upgrades early on to make future farming runs even easier. Glider durability upgrades are my first priority, since a higher durability glider lets you travel across the map faster and reach remote farming spots without having to walk. If you main a melee class, you’ll also need it to craft the tier 3 metal armor sets, which give you extra shroud resistance and physical defense for more dangerous zones. It’s also used to craft structural reinforcements for your base, which stop shroud decay from damaging your crafting stations and storage chests if you build near a shroud zone. You don’t need to save it for endgame gear right away, either. Using a few units to upgrade your pickaxe or axe will let you harvest higher tier resources faster, which pays off in the long run.

Once you know which spots to target and what to bring with you, figuring out where to get shroud adhesive enshrouded stops being a frustrating roadblock and becomes a quick, easy part of your gameplay loop. I usually do one 20-minute farming run every time I need to craft a new set of gear or upgrade my base, and I never run low anymore. Test out the three spots I listed to find which one fits your playstyle and gear level best, and you’ll have a full stack of adhesive before you know it.
